The woes of a do it yourself mechanic

So i decided i was going to save myself some money and be a grease monkey for a day. i set out this morning with a simple task, replacing my brake rotors and pads. This is eady enough to do. i thought the only problems i was going to run into was a little greese and the extreme heat. Little did my naive little brain know! everything came off well, or as well as it could. I had to spend 50 bucks to buy some of the tools i was going to need. But that was expected. The unexpected part came when i was trying to fit the new rotor on. The hole pattern did not match up right, i needed bigger rotors. That was not to bad, i just figured the guys at AutoZone had entered the numbers in the computer wrong. Well i took my second trip out to Rossville blvd only to find out that they had entered the numbers in correctly. The only explanation they could come up with was the front end had been replaced on the car. I took that as a resonable explanation and i went on my way with my new rotors. All was well on the drive home, i was in the air conditioned crown vic and was ready to roll again. Well i got home smoked a cigarette, and felt like i was un stoppable, until i put the rotor on and realized it was wrong as well. This time the hole pattern lined up perfectly, but the boot did not fit. The diameter of the whole rotor was about a half inch to large. so now i am at square one, the only place to go to fix this problem is closed. The fun part is that there hours are the same as mine, so i can not really go during work. So if anyone can messure rotors and determine the front in they fit on, then let me know. Allright so there it is, the moral of the story is, that i will fix anyones car anytime. I think i should open up a shop.
