keeping with the times

does anyone have a cheap dsecent Bike for sale. I am looking to get some more outdoor recreation. and i do not want to spend a lot of money on buying some super bike with features that i would not know how to use, or that i would not even use. And i have realized that biking may be the only way i can get back into shape. I need lower impact, because running is way to much of a strain on my knees. So If anyone out there is trying to get rid of a bike let me know.

doing things differently by staying the same

i am spending the day at home sick today. Just a little stomach bug or something. You know the fun stuff where you run to the bathroom ever so often. I know you are all so interested in hearing about this.

Working is crazy right now. We are in the middle of building three houses. One house is completly dried in and the sheetrock is being hung. Plumbers electricians and hvac has been run. The second house the roof system is being built as i type. I am missing putting in the complex hip rafters right now. It should be decked by the beginning of next week. I was supposed to be starting the third house today. i was going to be putting in the floor system, but i am not there so i do not know what is going on with that. We are building these houses with only six guys. It gets pretty tricky, but we are hanging in. I have not actually spent much time on the framing, but i have been the one man finishing crew. i have been going behind and tying the loose ends after the framing crew heads to the next house. Next week is going to be crazy Bryan, the guy running the framing, is going to be on vacation all week. So alot of the framing is going to be in my hands. But i think i am up for it. I will have memorial day off so hopefully that will give me a little extra juice.

Next week on Wed. i am off to see "Spoon" play at the variety play house. I am looking forward to the show. I bought the new album "Gimme Fiction" last week and it has not gone off of my ipod once. It is a solid album. The first four songs are great. so far the album is really doing it for me. I hope the live show can do it for me to.

I also, got the "bloc party" ep last week. I still do not know what i think of them yet. They have a pretty cool sound over all, but i do not know if it is going to really move me.

i am excitedly downloading the new "gorillaz" album "demon days" I really like the single, you know the one for the ipod commercial where they are dancing with the rollerskates. I will let you know what i think of it. I am sure it is not for all of you, but i loved blur and i loved the last gorillaz album. So get off of me.

Well i am going to leave you the same way i came to you. With the just about the same amount of brain cells, but with less time to get any new one. So i just stole some time from your day, how does that make you feel. Haha

Exit Wound

With the lack of interesting post, on my end, i thought this might be interesting for everyone. Most of you know that in my job i get hurt alot. i usually do not go more then a couple of hours without some sort of scrape or bruise. Well today was one of those days that it was more then a scrape. i put a nail through my hand. I saw the entrance wound and the exit wound. it is my first exit wound, other then when i had my ear pierced. i have had nails pierce my skin before, and even raise the skin on the other side of my foot. But today i saw a quarter inch of the nail tip sticking out my palm. Pretty crazy, huh? I did not shoot myself with the nail gun. it was even more accidental and weird then that. i do not know if i could explain it without a visual aid. So if you see me i will show you. I was thinking, since it is already pierced i should leave a cool stainless bar in there. Now that would be strange.

ipod on the fritz, what will i ever do

My ipod has been doing the weirdest thing. the computer geeks at the apple store could tell me nothing. They said to do a system restore on it. I have tried. the funny thing about restoring a frozen ipod is that it will not hook up to i-tunes while it is frozen, hmm imagine that. The craziest thing about how it is freezing up is that it only freezes when the battery is full. So when i plug into the computer, the battery charges to full, and by golly, i can not do anything. So what do i do. i am a freaking carpenter. i could build one swell wooden case for the ipod, but i could not do anything to figure out how to fix it. Ok bye

flurry of events crammed into a whirlwind of days

after a dry spell of not seeing any shows i finally saw two bands that i have wanted to see for a while. some how i crammed these two shows into my busy work week. On Tuesday i went to Atlanta and saw the Shins. They were amazing. the energy that they brought was great, and the crowd was small and great. no pushing or shoving to get a better view. The variety playhouse is great. i saw ben folds do a solo show there while he was recording Ben Folds Live. So both my experiences there are memorable. Tuesday night i got back from Atlanta around two in the morning and i had to work on Wednsday at 7. the work day was long, i spent 14 hours on a roof. When darkness fell i kept finding my self nodding off and losing my balance for a second. as soon as work was over i headed to my favorite venue to see another great band. I went to Lamars and saw, "of montreal" play. i was tired and my 40 oz kept me a wake enough to really enjoy. but i did have to fall asleep, so i left half way through. i wish i could of had more energy to dance. the show was so full of energy and was amazing all around. So that is my story. if you see me this week i am going to look glassy eyed and tired. and my reflex will be a little slow. so do not throw anything at me. well i am going to leave you for now. and illman, meg, i will blow your minds soon enough. just let me wake up first.
