More Rain Less Money That is my Motto

well another day of work has been rained out. But for the first time in a while a rain day did not mean laziness. I did get to sleep in, but i also changed all the locks on my parents house. Which if you have never done this it can actually be a tremendous chore. Luckily i am well versed in the varied and diverse stylings of door knobs. I also have the correct tools to make the job a little easier. you can no longer walk up to my house and just push the door open all the locks actually latch correctly and the dead bolts work like a dream. So burglars beware it is not as easy now, and i am waiting behind the door as well, and with my huge guns no one wants to step.

I am waiting any minute now to hear from jackson and Grace about the arrival of their son watchman. I believe grace is at the hospital and labor has begun. But it could be a little while. I have not gotten an official update, but please keep them in your prayers. I cant wait to see jackson as a dad.

Jes i am brainstorming on your story idea, i will let you know when i have something concrete. But you know me that could take years.

I am totally stuck listening to Spoons album Kill the Moonlight. I have not been able to take it out of my cd player for a while know. I know it may not be for everyone, but it is a great listen for me. I love the piano on it. It is the only spoon album i have, if anyone knows of their music and can recommend another album by them, i am all ears. I am not getting the biggest kick out of the Arcade fire, the album just isnt in the right place for me. Where that place for me is has not yet been determined.

Plans for me to visit the windy city are under way. I should be purchasing my tickets on monday. If any one wants to give me a ride to nashville on the 11th of november let me know. I will also be trying to get a ride home on the 14th. any takers?

So in closing let me summarize by letting you know that I am an utterly astonishing person. And by reading this blog you have just bettered your own life. I will try and bring you more nuggets of joy some time soon. And for those of you following the Futureman saga i will have news next time and maybe some pictures of him, for those of you who do not know futureman. I missed the show

Well about 4 o'colck or so i got a call from Kiko, "Do you want to go to the Pixies show in Atlanta" my answer was Hell yeah i do. I have been waiting for them to put on a show close enough to chattanooga for a while. But long story short, i am not going. I could not leave work in time to make it. The tickets would not be availaible after 7:30. it takes an hour and a half to make it to Atlanta and i only had a little under an hour and a half. Well maybe one day i will get to see them.

But you better believe i am going to have a PBR and listen to some Pixies tonight. Well maybe there will be more latter on tonight for me to write about, but now i need to take a shower i smell like sawdust and cigarette smoke.

I love the fall

It is my favorite time of year once again. It is not for the change in the leaves, although that is nice and pretty. I love the change of the weather, i actually got to wear my hooded sweatshirt all day long. I have written on this thing before how i love the cold weather, I am just repeating myself now.

i figured out today that being up on a ladder that is extended 30 feet in the air is not a fun thing to do. especially while hanging out around the corner of a house attaching a gutter downspout. Not fun. The ladder when it is extended all the way has a nice bounce and sway to it. Every step up it bows and slides side to side. But that is the thrill of my job. I can honestly say that if i sat behind a desk all day long, shuffleing papers, i would have half the stories to tell.

Speaking of stories i have not told a story on my blog in some time now. If anyone has any story ideas leave me a comment. Just give me a starting point and i will write your story in my own words. Dont even think for a second that it would travel the same way out of my mind as it would out of yours.

I finally saw to movies this past weekend that i have needed to see for a while. "Eternal Sunshine..." and "Punch Drunk Love". I loved them both. I have to say my favorite part of "PDL" was when Adam Sandlers character Barry finally let out his rage on a person. Or i should say three people. He took that tire iron to those guys and left the forth one cowarring in the back of the trunk. I have felt like going off like that before. But thank God i never have. I would get beat the hell up before i even raised a fist.

Meg false alarm about Anakin coming. I just talked to him on the phone a couple of minutes ago. he said he was headed down to Florida to do some Hurricane disaster relief. I think that is a good thing for him to be doing. It has been a long time since he actually tried to help someone out. Oh my my my i just realized he probably was just using a jedi mind trick on me. He was just trying to hide the fact that he was really coming out there to get futureman into trouble. Come to think about it, I didnt even talk to him on the phone. man he is good.

If anyone can help me with this? There is an Alexander Calder sculpture in Chicago. It sits in front of the Post Office downtown. It is giant and red. I have searched for it on the internet and cannot find the name. I have been curious what the name is for a while. It probably woud have been easiest to just read the plaque next to it, but i do not like to do things so simply.

For all of you who wear fanny packs

Having the day off is a mixed blessing. When i wake up in the morning i always have to force myself out the door. This morning was no differednt then any other morning, until i got to the gas station to get my morning cup of liquid crack, aka coffee. As i was reaching for the handle of the coffee pot my cell phone rang. It was my boss. Two things ran through my head, either i was late or i did not have to be up at all. If i was late it could only be because i had magically set my clock wrong, which i am prone to do on occasion. But the call was telling me i did not have to come in unless the weather cleared up. But the weather did not clear up until it was to late. the mixed blessing comes in the fact that i got to sleep in, but i did not have a backup rain plan so i just layed in bed watching VH1. I end up getting so lazy and not wanting to do anything when i lay in bed watching t.v. i need a hobby. I am going to be playing indoor soccer this winter, which is exciting. But that is just a once a week hobby. If anyone has any ideas into what my hobby should be let me know. At this point i will do just about anything.

On to cooler things, John i like the album. ben did a great job with the design. I cant wait to hear the second disk. It has been a while since i have heard any of Ryans stuff recorded.

I just downloaded this album off of i tunes. It is the album Will was urgin someone to buy for him. It is The Arcade Fire. What i heard so far i liked. Anyone heard them have anything to say?

I will leave you with this. If ant any point you get dog poo on you shoe dont come complaining to me. It is not my poo, so why would you come complainining to me.

Taking the power back, a new awarness of being the best

I have to many seemed to fall of the face of the earth. And by many i mean just a very small group. Those of you who read my blog and time your evey move so you can read my thoughts. It is that time once again. I am back and my mind is full of everything. Things like how am i going to end all this political BS. If any of you have been over to John Lennons blog, then you have seen how it can pull people apart so violently. I believe that by giving me the power that everyone will be happy and togetther. Like a huge hippy commune. Oh i was just informed that the blog i mentioned ealier is not in fact run by John Lennon. I was pretty surprised to find this out. I thought for a second lennon had gotten a hold of my time machine and was transporting himself here in to modern day to blog. It was a whole mind trip thinking about him taking breaks from recording Sergeant Peppers. To think that John Totten has fooled me for this long. Great hoax John. Will Cote i wish you would prompt a discussion within the walls of my blog to bring it alive like you did on Johns. I mean am i not thought provoking enough. Or do i just settle every debate with the ease of my words and the soothing tone of my voice in your heads while you read my Writings.

Oh Meg how is future man doing. I heard some one found him passed out in the alley behind a bar the other day. It is just such a sad image in my mind. A poor toothless future man resting his head on a trash bag full of empty Busch Light(I mean Busch light sucks) lying in a pile of his on vomit. I am sure it was freezing. I think it is time to be more proactive with his problem. You need to tell him clean up or get out. If you need me to i can talk to him on the phone and scare him into cleaning up.

For those of you who are interested, David Littlejohn should be welcomed into the working world. he is now one of those guys who will try to pound slogans into our brains. David i will buy anything you pitch. Even if it is a battery operated rocking horse. I can see the ad campaign right now. It is great i want three.

Man is it just me or does everyone else want some kool-aid. It is eather that or i want to hang out with the kool-aid man. He seems like a cool guy. I bet he has some stories to tell. I think i would laugh all day just listening to him talk.
It would be great, but i do not think I will ever get a chance to meet him. Unless David pulls some strings. I know you know him David. I mean you freaking took his picture. Ha ha Ha I am such a huge nerd it is awesome

Well i thought the next time I blogged, which is right now, it would absolutley blow your mind. I am sorry to inform you that i am out of my mind blowing powers right now. I just got a new video game, I have beaten it twice since sunday. But i am still exploring. i never knew how much fun it could be to fly an x-wing fighter. But thanks to video game awesomeness, i am able to. The game is Star Wars battle fronts. The premise is giving the power to the nerds. Letting them control all the toys that the jedi use. In many ways this may be the very first review i have posted on my site. In many ways this may be the best review you have or will ever read.
